Windrise Morgans is located in the heart of Wisconsin. Only 30 miles from Wausau, Merrill or Marshfield. The farm is situated on 80 acres of rolling farmland. The house and buildings are built on the top of one of the bigger hills in the area. This gives us a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside and woods.
Here at Windrise we raise quality Morgans for family, breeding and show. Many of our foals have gone on to be foundation stock for several Morgan farms and even a Morab farm or two. They are also proving themselves in the show ring. Some of them are also life long loving companions for youth and adults. We also use our horses for riding lessons.
We work in conjunction with Athens Veterinary Service for stallion collection, reproduction examinations, AI services for mares and more. We also offer foaling services.
Below are photos of our new shed. The back portion of the shed and the lean-to area are for the horses. During the breeding season, an area inside the shed will be set up with a mounting phantom, breeding stocks complete with a "foal box" in front of the mare. These items are removable to allow for more space during the winter months. The front portion is our new garage, complete with hydronic in-floor heating.
